Who do I compete with?
Because of the game space structure, there are numerous competitors. The upper limit of the sales in the market is the overall population disposable income, i.e. how much they are able to spend within each game round. Shortly, as an entrepreneur you compete with all the other entrepreneurs for limited shoppers' pockets. In practice:
- as a manufacturer you compete primarily with other manufacturers of the same product subcategories, and less with those focusing on different subcategories, but in any case for the shoppers interest in your brands.
- as a distributor you compete with other distributors. In case of delivery to retail chains - with manufacturers who might be willing to deliver directly to them.
- as a retailer you compete with other retailers.
- as a retailer or distributor, if you develop and sell your own brand products, you also compete with manufacturers for the shoppers' choice.
